The House/Gîte
The house is for rent from April through September, for 2 to 13 persons. *
Peak season (July and August) for weeks.
Low season (remaining months) for weeks and long weekends.
Weeks: saturday day of arrival and departure. (4 PM arrival, 10 AM departure)
Weekends: arrival friday, departure monday.
Suitable for children from the age of five.
Rent includes:
Made up beds, towels, kitchen linen, use of four bicycles, barbecue, Wifi
Extra:
Very dry oak, 1 wheelbarrow for € 12
Use washingmachine, incl. detergent € 2,50 per washing cycle

House layout
House:
Living room: large dining table, seating by the fireplace, piano; kitchen: double sink, refrigerator, stove with oven, enough kitchen cabinets, “Agacooker” (used as heater); interspace with washingmachine; bathroom: washstand, shower, toilet; three spacious bedrooms: two with double beds, one with two separate single beds.
Topfloor (accessible by outside stairs)
Big space (10m x 7m, 4 persons): two 2-person sleeping units, lits-jumeaux (units partly separated), lounge corner with bookcases, bathroom (sink, shower, toilet).
Second space accessible by interconnecting door (5m x 7m, 3 person): lits-jumeaux for 2 persons and a twin for 1 adult or 2 children, bathroom (sink, shower, toilet).
A bigger group can also use the outdoor kitchen (on the outer wall of the kitchen), with extra hotplates.
Garden:
The partly sunken garden has a terrace, multiple seats, a lawn and enough trees for shadow. The main terrace at the house has 14 seats on long tables under white parasols in the shadow of old fruit trees. In the lower large garden (20m x 25m) you will find seats, a stone barbecue, a small kitchen garden, and a hammock in a quiet corner.
During your stay the entire garden will be yours only, no one else will use it. The stone walled sunken garden is well shielded from the rest of the terrain.
Chambre d’ Hôte / Sleeping cabbins
Are you on your way south, or on your way home? Don’t feel like driving in one go, and don’t want to put up a tent or sleep in a hotel? Les Gérolles offers the opportunity the enjoy a good nights rest halfway home. Also hikers who stay at multiple Chambre d’ Hôtes can stay for one or more nights.
Make use of one of the 2 person sleeping cabbins: fresh beds in a small house on the undercarriage of an old farm wagon. In addition to the bed you have access to your own terrace, you can enjoy the (heated) outdoor shower and toilet, and you can use the kitchen facilities (with refrigerator) and washing machine in the former pig shed. On request I can make you a nice breakfast (excluded).
Swimming and fishing is possible at 4 km in the river Loire (and guarded swimming at 5 km)
Until recently a family of screech owls used to live in the large barn. Hopefully they will return. The horse and cow shed are still intact. Food baskets, chains, troughs, everything is still in place. An ideal open space to provide training courses when the weather is bad. See Summerschool
